Interesting Names of Chinese Cuisine

As we all know, Chinese cuisine is world famous. And the names of Chinese cuisine are even more interesting for most foreigners who come to learn Chinese in China. The most important thing is that the names show the wisdom in life with Chinese style.

Many names of Chinese cuisine are elegant with deep meanings, or even full of auspiciousness or celebration. Here are some examples for those who study Chinese in China. We call bean seedling as Longxu, meaning the beard of dragon. The beautiful name of egg is Furong or Fenghuang, respectly meaning lotus and phoenix.

During the process when you study Mandarin in China, you may hear Chinese people call chicken leg as Fengzhua, the phoenix talon and name tofu as Baiyu, meaning white jade. Besides, some of the names of Chinese cuisine seem luxurious.
